One sick puppy! - October 1, 2008

The night before last I started hacking & gagging. Mommy & Daddy thought maybe I had swallowed some fuzz from my tennis ball. Yesterday morning Daddy told Mommy we better go to Dr. Larson just to be safe, so Mommy took me after work. He gave me some antibiotic drops & said I couldn't have my toys for awhile. I have to take those drops twice a day for a week; Mommy says I fight like a polecat!

I'm so pretty! September 26, 2008

Mommy took me to get my haircut today at Grooming by Gail. When Mommy came to pick me up, I had a kinda squared off face. Mommy asked Gail to layer the sides & she said, "I don't layer hair, I cut dogs!" Mommy didn't like her attitude. When we got home, Mommy trimmed it & layered it!

The River's Crested; Let's just Play Ball! September 21,2008

Daddy says the river has finally crested. We have 5' of water in our basement!! If anybody likes indoor swimming, bring your suits & come on over.

Mom did a first yesterday - she let me run loose while she went to the store for an hour. I was so good - I slept on the couch the whole time. Today after church & breakfast, we're just hanging around playing ball - my favorite!

Where it's high & dry! Daddy said the IL River is 18' at normal depth. By Sunday, it's supposed to crest at 27.4'! That means a flood & lots of water. I think I'll stay in Morton where there's plenty of grass to potty in!

My First Punkin Festival - September 12-->14, 2008

This weekend was the Punkin Festival. I got to go walk through it on Tuesday before it ever opened. I was kinda scared of all the big rides, trucks, & equipment, so I stayed home with Bella during the parade. Aunt Mo, Uncle Doug, Cousin Kelly, their neighbors, the Zwicks (Patti, Bob, Kelsey, Kylie, their friends, Mary & Megan Bright Field), Amy & Mark Werner, Aunt Sissie C, Uncle Ron, Aunt Sissie K and Bella were all here for lunch after the parade. It rained a lot, but not too much during the parade. Even though the weather wasn't the best, we had a good time being together.

I'm Such a Big Girl! September 10, 2008

I've been sleeping in Mommy & Daddy's bed all night! I used to sleep in my crate half the night but then I'd wake somebody up, go out to potty & then go in the big bed! On Monday, Daddy said we should just see if I was big enough to sleep all night with them! I don't wake up even when Mommy gets up for work! I love sleeping in a real bed!

Lookin' Pretty - September 8, 2008

Today I got to go to Springfield with Mommy & Daddy. We drove there & met the lady that's been trying to get Mommy's insurance company to pay for damage to her car that Mommy didn't do. Daddy is so smart ~ he lined up the cars & there was no way that Mommy scratched her car! Daddy got her to sign a letter saying that Mommy didn't do it! He's our hero!

When we got home, Mommy & Daddy gave me a bath. I feel so much better clean! And Mommy says this weekend is the Punkin' Festival! I'm not sure if I get to go or not but we're having lots of company and I want to look pretty. Aunt Sissies K & C, Uncle Ron, Aunt Mo, Uncle Doug, & Cousin Kelly are all coming ~ it's gonna be so much fun!
